One of the most interesting medieval temples in the Lisbon region

Dating back to the 13th century, this Roman-Gothic chapel is recognized as one of the most interesting medieval temples in the Lisbon region. It is considered a fundamental element for understanding the historical origins and settlement of the municipality of Sobral de Monte Agraço.

In a place called Salvador are found the origins of the municipality of Sobral de Monte Agraço. Evidence of this historical period is a building, dating from the 13th century, which reveals the ambivalence of the transition period from Romanesque to Gothic and which is recognized as one of the most interesting medieval temples in the Lisbon region – the Chapel of S. Savior of the World. The chapel is still considered a fundamental element for understanding the historical origins and settlement of the municipality of Sobral de Monte Agraço.
