The Nossa Senhora das Necessidades Sanctuary was built in the middle of the 18th century. The temple replaces a niche where the miraculous image of the Saint was kept, a reason for great devotion in the surrounding area. The influx of devout people determined the construction of a temple worthy of housing that image.
It features a Latin cross plan, certainly due to the architectural influence of the temple of Senhor Bom Jesus da Cruz in Barcelos, but moving away from that model. The main altar, dating from 1774, has carvings with a clear Classicism, although Baroque reminiscences can still be seen.
