The cold and sulphurous waters of the Eirôgo Thermal Spa are born in the parish of Lijó, in the village of Mosqueiro. These waters calmly descend the mountain of Facho to Galegos Sta. Maria, and it is here, right in the heart of Minho, in a region surrounded and protected by pine forests, without major temperature variations, where a maritime climate prevails, without wind and fog, that the Eirôgo Thermal Establishment is located.
According to experts, the thermal waters of Eirôgo have a wide variety of minerals such as sulfur, chloride, bicarbonate, sodium and fluorine. They are therefore considered the richest in Portugal and even in Europe. This Spa was very frequented in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Currently, this establishment is closed and in need of works.
