Church of São Pedro
One of the most important religious buildings in the municipality

The Church of São Pedro is one of the most important religious buildings in the municipality, due to its architectural grandeur.
The main façade has a staircase of semicircular steps, with a wide landing and balustrade, in the center, the portal in ornate granite and above this is a large window, the top of which is crowned by a bipartite arch, superimposed with a trevada cross and pinnacles of fireworks. . Also, in this architecture stands out the bell tower with four windows and two bells, ending with pinnacles and a Latin cross.

Inside, the church has a rectangular nave, a transept opening onto the side chapels and an arch decorated with stylized symmetrical roses that precedes the main chapel, which has a magnificent vault with decorative motifs.
The altarpiece is markedly in the Johannine Baroque style, from the 18th century, containing two niches with baldachin, where the images of São Paulo and São Pedro can be found.
As for the side chapels, one is dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, dating from the 17th century, and Santo Cristo, dating from the 18th century, both altarpieces being in the national Baroque style.
