Casa Soares de Albergaria
17th century manor house

It is a property from the 17th century, classified as a Property of Public Interest (I.I.P.), by dec. Law nº 735/74, of December 21st. This presents grandeur in construction and architecture, consisting of two bodies, in which opens the portal surmounted by the stone of the family coat of arms and even a pyramidal pinnacle.

The chapel built later, but adjacent to the building, has an ornate portal on the façade, topped by a framed frieze that serves as a corbel to the niche of the patron saint. Finishing the frontispiece are two pyramidal pinnacles and at the top the characteristic Latin cross. Over the door there is also the following epigraph: “This chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios ordered the making of Captain Mor Pedro Soares de Albergaria” 1666.
