Casa do Penedo is located in the mountains of Fafe. Inaugurated on October 13, 1974, with an unusual construction method (starting with the roof), it was designed to be perfectly integrated into the landscape and serve as a family shelter.

Its unique location allows an unusual communion with nature: here we can observe and interact with native species of our fauna and flora, observe the stars, or simply enjoy the peace and clean mountain air. It is located in the wind farm and the only access is via the rally track, section Fafe/Lameirinha. Casa do Penedo saw its name and image reach the four corners of the world, attracting both curious and specialists and architecture lovers of all nationalities. This space can now be visited, it is open to the public.
