The Dão railway line, inaugurated in 1890, connected Viseu to the Beira Alta line, over about 50 kilometers of rail.
In 1988, the train stopped circulating and, in 2011, the line was converted into an ecotrail. It unites the cities of Viseu, Tondela and Santa Comba Dão and is an interesting route along a natural landscape that is worth observing and feeling. Along the way, we can see old train stations, roads, Roman bridges and beautiful villages. By bicycle or on foot, it is a must for adventure and nature lovers.
