It is a stage where the best of local creative industries in the field of traditional arts, music, gastronomy and wines is promoted and valued.

The Handicrafts and Ceramics Exhibition is the biggest annual popular art event held in Barcelos, where virtually all local artisans and arts gather. It is one of the oldest handicraft exhibitions in Portugal and certainly the one that best reflects the authenticity and richness of Portuguese popular art. It takes place every year in the first half of August.

An entertainment program based on the cultural and ethnographic richness of the municipality is taken on, thus valuing all the work developed by folkloric and ethnographic groups in the preservation of customs, costumes, singing and local traditions.
