The Pilgrimage of São Nuno de Santa Maria takes place every year in the village of Cernache do Bonjardim on the last weekend of April.

Promoted jointly by Sertã City Council and by the Union of Parishes of Cernache do Bonjardim, Nesperal and Palhais, this pilgrimage aims to perpetuate the memory and legacy of Nuno Álvares Pereira, in the different aspects of his life as a man, warrior and saint. Born in Cernache do Bonjardim, he is a unique example of dedication to the Church and those most in need, in his last years of life, and of strategy, warrior and defender of Portugal.

This celebration has two aspects: one religious and the other profane. The parade and religious celebrations are joined by shows by both popular and folk music groups.
