Located in the parish of Santa Margarida da Coutada and comprising an area of 9200 square meters, the Aldeia dam is a sport fishing track and a unique place. Work completed in 2001, it allows sports fishing lovers not only to enjoy their art, but also to enjoy nature in an easily accessible location with excellent conditions for the sport.

Consisting of approximately 60 fishing grounds, its management is the responsibility of the local Parish Council and the existing species range from “bogas”, carp and largemouth bass to eels, tench, scallops and pimpons.

Here, several sport fishing competitions take place.
