About twenty granite houses and a community threshing floor with seven magnificent granaries make up this beautiful Aldeia de Portugal. The threshing floor and canastros, where agricultural work was once animated with dancing and singing, is currently one of its main tourist attractions. In the vicinity of the village, as well as along the Vouga line, the restaurants serve the delicious roasted veal of Sever do Vouga with rice from the oven, lamprey rice, rojões with turnips, oven-roasted kid and lamprey to Bordeaux.
