Performed mainly by car (which can be a light car) there are some pedestrian routes that show us the true soul of the landscapes of the International Tagus.
From the smoothness of the plateau to the steep and verdant valleys of the Tagus slopes, you will cross water lines, flanked by riparian forests with leafy trees and ravines of torrential watercourses, dry most of the year, where only oleanders, tamujos and tamarisks can survive .
Cork oaks, holm oaks and cistus dominate the landscape between rainfed pastures, irrigated areas and small vegetable gardens, often divided by schist walls and rammed earth mortar.
Along this route you can observe the majestic gliding birds that are at the origin of the classification of International Tagus Natural Park, vultures, eagles and black storks, in addition to some of the rarest passerines in Portugal, solitaire, thyme warbler and black wheatear.
Route with about 90Km.
