Cais de Malpica do Tejo
Boat trips and observation of the fauna and flora of the region
The Cais Fluvial de Malpica is located in the Portuguese half of the Tagus River, as we are in the International Tagus area. The nearest town (about 8km away), Malpica do Tejo, is 16km from the city of Castelo Branco.
It supports tourist entertainment companies that promote boat trips along the Tejo Internacional Natural Park and river fishermen.
It has a privileged location as it allows you to observe the steep slopes facing the south quadrant, rocky outcrops of a schist nature, embedded valleys of the Tagus River and its tributaries, as well as the fauna and flora of this region.
Additional notes
Access is on land and there are sections where it is only possible to travel with a 4×4 vehicle.
