As we make our way through the Aquilino Ribeiro park and experience an explosion of smells and colours, we come across the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Vitória. Its construction intended to perpetuate the memory of the Portuguese victory in the fields of Aljubarrota and the consequent escape of the Castilian troops from the city that contributed so much to its destruction.
Primitively located next to the Convent of Santo António de Maçorim, next to the Church of the Third Order of S. Francisco, it was transferred, in the 20th century, to the Aquilino Ribeiro garden. Of Mannerist character, the portal of classical tradition topped by two coats of arms of Cardosos e Almeidas and Abreus e Costas stands out.
