The set consists of two volumes: nave and chancel (baroque style), and sacristy. The entire set is paved with brick, stone and lime masonry materials plastered and whitewashed on the outside, and covered with polychrome tiles from the 17th century. XVII inside the nave and chancel.
The main door, facing North, is large and its frame is made of fine-grained granite stone, on the same plumb line. Above the door there is a niche with the image of Nossa Senhora da Alegria in porcelain. This is covered with polychrome tiles, with the same width as the main door, forming a harmonious whole.
