Church of Our Lady of Soveral
Mother Church of Borba

Monument of Public Interest
Built in 1420.
Inside there are ten chapels.
It has three marble altars and paintings by José de Sousa de Carvalho.

In 1420, D. Fernão Rodrigues de Sequeira ordered the construction of the church, as an image of the Virgin Mary appeared there, in a forest of cork oaks, which was rebuilt in 1560. Each of its 10 chapels belonged to a brotherhood and, all of them , have artistic contributions from the 17th and 18th centuries.
