The route starts in Carrazedo and heads towards Alimonde. The landscape is markedly rural, dominated by Lameiros, Soutos, small watercourses and with a view of the Serra da Nogueira.
Leaving Carrazedo, the route follows the PR4 towards the beginning of the Carrazedo Biodiversity Station. Shortly after, the other route takes the left to Zoio, and this goes straight ahead along a forest path that gives access to the Roman road (via Augusta or via XVII). Close to Alimonde, there is an old water mill and when you cross the Ribeira de Alimonde over a small cement bridge, you quickly reach the village.
When passing through the square before the church, the way back to Carrazedo is along Rua do Cabo, flanked by a forest or riverside area.
The maximum altitude is 890 meters while its minimum altitude is 738, it is a type of circular route and of easy difficulty.
