Built in the 16th century, but profoundly altered by several restorations in the 19th century, it features an original typology that has been adulterated.

According to documents from the time, the process for building the Misericórdia de Góis began in 1596 and, with the contribution and help of the people, it was created in 1598. According to the Historical Archive of Góis, the original construction underwent changes, however, the dates and type of modifications are difficult to specify.

It is known that in 1867 work began to place the clock there, where it still stands today, works that lasted until 1887.

Today we can find, in Largo Francisco Inácio Dias Nogueira, a 19th century building with a side tribune, whose images are Santa Rita carved in wood, which dates back to the 16th century, and also Nossa Senhora da Conceição, from the 18th century.

Possible visit to integrate other spaces in the historic center of the village.

Examples are the Goiense Memory Reference Centre, Mother Church and Dom Luís da Silveira tomb, Largo do Pombal and Painted Ceilings in the Town Hall.
