Church of Ordem Terceira de São Francisco
An example of religious architecture from the second half of the 18th century
With a privileged view over the entire Praça da República, the Igreja da Ordem Terceira de S. Francisco has an elegant staircase that allows access to one of the most beautiful examples of religious architecture from the second half of the 18th century.
Its interior is filled with tile panels depicting the life of St. Francis and rococo altarpieces. Be sure to admire a magnificent 18th-century organ in the high choir.
