Located in the heart of the city, it was around this beautiful church of medieval origin that the founding nucleus of the urban center of Fafe was developed.
It is an ancient temple of great importance, having constituted the parish church that has always served the parish of Santa Eulália Antiga.
Its current design dates back to the 18th century, when it received the bell towers and underwent extensive expansion and reconstruction. However, some traces remain of the primitive temple, of which two richly worked tombstones stand out, characteristic of the medieval period. Inside are beautiful main and side retables that most captivate the visitor, thus fulfilling their function: to create a visual and emotional impact on believers. These altars find their influences in the Rococo and Baroque styles, respectively.
