Building of religious architecture, located at the southern end of the village, classified as a National Monument since 1910. Temple dedicated to Santa Maria Maior, patron saint of the parish of Góis, whose construction corresponds to different moments, namely the 15th, 16th and 19th centuries. With a longitudinal plan comprising a nave, chancel, two side chapels (on the left side we have the Chapel of S. José; on the right side the Capela das Almas), sacristy and former sacristy.

Possible visit to integrate other spaces in the historic center of the village.
Examples are the Goiense Memory Reference Centre, Misericórdia Church, Largo do Pombal and the Painted Ceilings of the Town Hall.
