The Lagar de Varas de Parada is one of the most unique mills, dating from the end of the 19th century, located in the Municipality. Its recovery attests to the importance of its preservation as a representative testimony of the activity linked to the production of olive oil, an activity sector that has contributed a lot to the local economy over time.
It is a press with two rod presses, developed on two levels of landings: the first corresponds to the sinks, the one on the right being more primitive because it contains ceramic vessels from that time, and the one on the left, more recent, made of granite; the second level corresponds to the area of the plates and presses and access areas adjacent to the sinks.
In the center of the room we can see the millstones in stone or galga, intended for crushing olives, which, by all indications, were moved by animal traction.
Visits to the museum can be carried out in groups for different audiences and the school community by prior appointment.
