Monument to Camões
Watching the flowing waters on the way to the Tejo
Facing the Zêzere, as if watching the flowing waters on the way to the Tagus, Camões seems to have stayed here, always young, since the times when he lived in Punhete (now Constância). Those who visit him often affectionately give him a caress or leave him flowers.
The monument, by master Lagoa Henriques, was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, general. Ramalho Eanes, in 1981.
