The museum takes an approach to archeology in Terras de Sever, to the industrial and mining heritage, to ethnography and cultural practices, to the natural wonders of the territory and its dedication to small fruits (especially the blueberry).
Inaugurated on May 18, 2016, the Municipal Museum of Sever do Vouga is a dynamic cultural centre, committed to telling the history of a territory, disseminating its heritage and elements of cultural and ethnographic interest, but also a place where research is carried out, protects itself and promotes the heritage of Sever do Vouga. It incorporates in its collections not only archaeological finds, but also pieces related to the economic activities that marked our municipality in the 19th and 20th centuries. Supported by a unique museum collection, and using new technologies, complemented with high quality content, this museum is a future-oriented, pedagogical, communicative and engaging facility.
