Os Encantos dos “Quercus”: Percurso entre Carvalhos, Sobreiros e Azinheiras.
Route through the different species of "Quercus"

The route departs from the center of Sendas to Vila Franca, taking the forest path that goes around Monte do Gato and descends to Linha do Tua. Arriving at the old Vila Franca stop, take the path on the right towards the center of the village. It then goes on to Fermentões, along a path parallel to the old railway line. Leaving the village, cross the Roman bridge over Ribeira de Sendas, then take the left path that follows the river to the south. You climb to the highest point of the route, at 873 meters, and enjoy the view of the places already visited. The descent to Sendas is always done along forest paths.

Shortly after crossing the stream, you will reach a branch where you can choose to continue the walk to Cabeço Pelado and visit a waterfall or return to the starting point.
If you choose the main path, go back over the stream, continuing along that bank for about 3km. We cross the stream again and it is at the final stage of the route that there is a small detour (250m) to visit the waterfall, known as Caldeira de Piões.

Additional notes

The maximum altitude is 876 meters and the minimum is 642 meters. Its type of route is circular, its level of difficulty is difficult and is 18000 meters long.
