The enclosure of the municipal swimming pools of S. João da Madeira, in the Sports Complex Paulo Pinto, started to have a water park from the summer of 2016 onwards, a new offer that made this equipment much sought after by people from all over the world even more attractive. region.
There are two large water slides, the largest of which is about 70 meters long and the other is approximately 30 meters long.
Because these “toboggans” are not for younger children, the Council decided at the same time to proceed with another intervention in the sense of placing water fun equipment in the children’s pool.
In this way, this large municipal outdoor leisure space, which has three swimming pools – one 50 meters long, one for diving and one for children –, a children’s playground, an extensive tree-lined lawn and a bar, now also offers an area with water slides. water slides and water play equipment for the little ones.
