Roman bridge, in Sumes, Midões, over the river of Cavalos. Considered property of public interest.
Bridge built over the river of Cavalos, with a deck of about 50 m long and about 3 m wide. The foundations are Roman and date from the days of this era, which, if we believe in a Roman epigraph integrated into a wall in Póvoa de Midões, the bridge was built in the 80s of the Christian era. The sidewalk that integrates the deck (what remains of it) is the result of intervention after the period of Roman occupation in the territory.
It probably forms part of the same road connection as the Roman road at Pedra da Sé, functioning as a link between the Roman civitas of Bobadela and that of Viseu. It has only one arch with a perfect back span.
