PR1 – Rota dos Moinhos do Sobral
Windmills are prominent elements
The PR1 “Rota dos Moinhos do Sobral” is a pedestrian route with a small circular route, about 14 km long, starting and ending at Largo da Feira in Sobral de Monte Agraço.
The PR1 “Rota dos Moinhos do Sobral” is a pedestrian trail with a small circular route, marked in both directions in accordance with the rules of the Portuguese Camping Federation. Windmills are prominent elements in this region, where in the territory of Sobral de Monte Agraço alone there are still 43 windmills. The route takes you to places of historical, cultural and scenic interest, such as Forte do Alqueidão, the Roman-Gothic chapel of S. Salvador and the Church of Santo Quintino.
