Located in the village of Sesmo, in the extreme west of the municipality of Castelo Branco, close to the Schist Village of Sarzedas, this beach is surrounded by hills and valleys characteristic of the interior pine forest area.
It is formed from a dam built on a small stream, a tributary of the Ocreza river.
