This type of handicraft is highly appreciated for its detailed work and variety of pieces. The work with the raw material, difficult by nature, culminates in objects of rare beauty and aesthetic grandeur. With the exception of some utilities (lamps, amphorae, pots, vases, cataplanas, stills, etc.), most of the pieces produced are for decorative purposes, such as candelabras, watering cans, lamps, oil lamps, among others. others. One of the pieces most appreciated by tourists/visitors are the famous Roosters of Barcelos in iron or copper. As part of this route, it is worth mentioning the remarkable copper work shop that has existed on Rua da Madalena in the heart of Barcelos for over 80 years.
