Walking down Rua Direita is a challenge for our senses. And the Solar dos Viscondes de Treixedo, built during the first decade of the 20th century. XVIII, under the baroque sign, constitutes one of the most emblematic manor houses that we can find in the heart of the historic center.
Its façade shows a single floor, with the windows and the portal, at present, the only decorative element capable of attesting to the decorative opulence of the time. The sequence of spans, suspended only by the portals, imprints a vertiginous rhythm on the façade. The portals are finished off by volutes interrupted by the coat of arms of Almeidas Cardosos Sequeira de Sousa. Currently, the building is used by a banking entity and houses the Professional School Mariana Seixas.
