At the top of Vila is the Solar dos Peixotos, another example of the manor architecture that proliferates in the city of Viseu. Its design reflects the Baroque spirit of the first half of the 18th century.
A granite cornice marks the division between the two floors in the building. It is, however, on the second floor where there is a greater artistic investment, namely in its stairwells. The straight entablature entrance portal features a set of volutes interrupted by a perfect arched niche. Inside, the building has a large staircase with moldings and volutes at the ends. At present, the former Peixotos manor house is the meeting place for the Municipal Assembly.
