Viriato Theater
The memory of the golden times
Inaugurated in 1883 under the name of Theatro Boa União, it closed its doors, as Teatro Viriato, in 1960.
After successive recovery attempts, Teatro Viriato reopens to the public after 38 years of inactivity, reopening in 1998. With the recovery of Teatro Viriato, the memory of the golden times when the City of Viseu had five venues and cinema (Teatro da Rua Escura, Teatro Viriato, Teatro Paraíso, Avenida Teatro, Cine-Rossio).
