The pedestrian trail “Trilho das Poças” is circular and starts at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Rosário (Creixomil) and crosses the rural and forest areas of the parishes of Creixomil and Vilar do Monte (pedestrian route in the certification phase).
The “Trilho das Poças” pedestrian trail, of a high environmental nature, visits one of the richest areas of the municipality of Barcelos in terms of native fauna and flora, being possible along the route to identify forest spots full of oaks, chestnut trees and mainly riparian species such as the willow, alder and ash on the banks of watercourses. Circular in scope, starting and ending at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Rosário and with a medium difficulty level, this is a route of high beauty with curious interactions with streams of clear water, bridges and bridges, mills and watermills that insist on keeping if in the daily life of these people and recall a distant past. Another distinguishing feature of this route are the puddles that are the common denominator of this trail through the rural world and give this route its title. Its main points of interest are: Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, the various mills of Creixomil, the irrigation pools, the streams as well as the irrigation areas.
